Terms of Service
The rules and conditions for using Newsie.tech

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Newsie.tech ("Newsie," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including registered and unregistered visitors. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
Newsie is a DeFi safety intelligence platform that provides:
- AI-powered safety scoring (0-100) for DeFi protocols, tokens, and smart contracts
- Risk analysis based on on-chain data, smart contract audits, TVL metrics, and community signals
- Protocol comparison tools, impermanent loss calculators, and yield analysis
- Threat feeds, rug pull alerts, and whale watching features
- Educational content including safety quizzes and methodology documentation
- Curated discovery lists for DeFi protocols and yield opportunities
3. Not Financial AdviceImportant
NEWSIE DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, LEGAL, OR TAX ADVICE. All safety scores, risk assessments, AI-generated explanations, and other outputs are for informational and educational purposes only. They should not be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any cryptocurrency, token, or DeFi protocol. DeFi involves significant financial risk, including the potential for total loss of funds. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Always do your own research (DYOR) and consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Registration
To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@newsie.tech if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our scoring algorithms or AI models
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform at scale beyond our API limits
- Submit malicious contract addresses designed to exploit or crash our analysis system
- Misrepresent Newsie safety scores as guarantees of protocol safety or investment returns
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our analysis data without written permission
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or any security measures
- Use the Platform for any illegal activity, including money laundering or facilitating fraud
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or Newsie staff
6. Subscriptions and Payments
6.1 Free Tier
Newsie offers a free tier with limited daily analyses, basic scoring, and access to educational content. Free tier limits may change at our discretion.
6.2 Pro Subscription
The Pro plan provides unlimited analyses, advanced features, API access, and priority support. Pricing is displayed on the Pricing page and may be updated with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
6.3 Billing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for all applicable fees.
6.4 Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of your current billing period.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform -- including the scoring methodology, AI models, user interface, graphics, text, and software -- is the intellectual property of Newsie Technologies and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our express written consent. Your submitted data (protocol addresses, analysis requests) does not transfer any intellectual property rights to us beyond what is needed to provide the service.
8. Data Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive for accuracy, Newsie's safety scores and analyses have inherent limitations:
- Scores are based on publicly available data at the time of analysis and may not reflect real-time changes
- Third-party data sources (DeFiLlama, GoPlusLabs, block explorers) may contain errors or delays
- AI-generated explanations are probabilistic and may occasionally contain inaccuracies
- New attack vectors and exploit techniques may not be immediately detected by our scoring engine
- A high safety score does not guarantee that a protocol is safe or that funds cannot be lost
- Historical score trends are based on available data and may have gaps for newly tracked protocols
9. Limitation of LiabilityImportant
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEWSIE AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, FUNDS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR RELIANCE ON ANY SAFETY SCORES, ANALYSES, OR RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Newsie Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or your investment decisions made using or influenced by our safety analyses.
11. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services and links to external websites (DeFi protocols, block explorers, documentation sites). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and policies.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
